About Me
I'm Simon - an AI research scientist at the Allgäu Research Centre (IDF · TTZ Kaufbeuren). My work sits at the intersection of computer vision, reinforcement learning, and practical software engineering: from vision transformer experiments to reinforcement-learning based routing optimization for real-world logistics.
I recently completed my Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision in Kempten, with an exchange semester at Aarhus University in between. Before that I earned my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science - Game Engineering and spent several years as a full-stack and game developer - including building an AR-based repair guide and researching operator-assistance software for CNC machines together with DMG MORI.
Beyond research and code, I enjoy photography and playing musical instruments - piano, guitar, and electric guitar.
